Seeing a Rocket Launch from Cocoa Beach in Florida

We went to Florida for our two week holiday in June 2017 and we had an amazing time seeing a rocket launch from Cocoa Beach Pier.

During our Florida trip, we made our way to Cocoa Beach Pier for the day and sat there and witnessed a rocket launch. It took off from Cape Canaveral which is 12 minutes by car from Cocoa Beach.

It was an experience we will never forget. A unique time spent with friends too.

It was a hot summer's day on 23rd June 2017 and it felt unreal to be sitting there on the pier and enjoying a glass of wine with some lunch and waiting to see the rocket launch. I had never seen a rocket launch and I was very excited at the thought of watching one.

Although we were a distance away from Cape Canaveral, we did see the launch zoom into the sky quite clearly. Lots of people gathered on the beach to watch it too. There was an atmosphere of awe and happiness as the rocket launched into the sky.
